7月25日はKONTAの誕生日だそうで。
バービーボーイズ『Black List』
昨年、バービーはデビュー40周年で、記念ライヴがあると思って楽しみにしてたら、KONTAが四股麻痺になったと発表があったのが衝撃的で。
しかし、それにも負けず、これからもステージで歌い続けるとなったのは、もっと驚きで。
KONTAの覚悟、不屈の精神に感服だ。

「女ぎつねon the Run」「なんだったんだ？7DAYS」「泣いたままでlisten to me」などがヒットして、バービーがかなり注目され始めた時点でリリースされたリミックス・ベスト盤。
しかし、そこには上記のヒット曲は収録せず、注目される前の1st・2ndアルバムの曲を中心に、「初期のバービーにもこんな良い曲があるんだぜ」的に編まれた。

シングルでしか聴けなかった「C'm'on Let's Go!」を収録したのはポイント高かったし、黒と黄色が基調の蜂のイメージのジャケットもカッコいい。
なんと言ってもD面の「帰さない」「負けるもんか」「ダメージ」でのKONTAの熱い活躍っぷりがたまらない。

この芯の強さを持ったKONTAなら、きっと大丈夫だろう。
