Today is Lord Ralphington’s second gotcha day anniversary and 4th birthday. 🥳🎉

I think it’s fair to say that he’s blossomed from the first pic on this reel, where he was an anxious and slightly unsure of himself boy.

Now he’s living his best life. ☺️🐾🐾

ALMOST 16yrs OLD & HER FAVORITE PERSON DIED ‼️
The sad reality is, many dogs outlive their owners and in this case it was touch & go as this little Fox is almost 16yrs old.
Sadly her dad died and she is heartbroken.
Those that know me know the retirement home is my favorite project. To be able to take a dog like Amelia (little Fox 🦊) and just bring her to instant safety and a home gives me the best feeling.
I wish she never had to watch her owner die, I can’t change it. What we can do is make sure she doesn’t die in a perrera, kennels or end up in the wrong hands.
I just wish her owner could have known before passing that she would be ok.
Some of you will say I look too happy under the circumstances. Well, let’s just say I’m proud of this project.
It’s a dream to help and keep these little oldies safe. In a world where so many only want puppies, my world is this, the oldies.
No matter how many times the heart is broken, it’s mended with knowing how much joy we can give to these creaky boned little ones.
She’s quite unsettled but it’s just been a few hours…

CUTE PUPPY OR BEAR 🐻?
Benny is a handsome Mastin puppy looking for a home.
Mum is Mamma Mia a Mastin mix and dad is a St. Bernard mix.
They are absolutely wonderful 😍
They don’t be leaving mum yet but we are taking inquiries.
It’s not easy for us to find homes for these pups so please help them out and share if you can ♥️🙏🏻

Urgent home for Ben 📣
If you have experience and are looking to adopt then please consider Ben.
Ben was picked up recently and had clearly been neglected emotionally by his previous owner, a Galguero.
He pees himself with fear and recovering in a shelter isn’t always easy although we always do our best and have had many successes.
A home tho is the dream for Ben 🙏🏻
Approx 3yrs old, he’s hopefully going to have a wonderful future if you can help share him 🙏🏻❤️

Who will share Jupiter? We think he’s a pointer Galgo mix and he’s around 10 weeks old.
He looks bigger in this photo but actually he’s just a weeny bop ❤️
He’s sociable, sweet, extremely cute and ready to be part of someone family.

New boy Silver was found on the streets.
He’s around 8yrs old, super sweet and calm but a little bit shy with more boisterous dogs.
I’m sure that will pass quickly tho.

Tizon came from another rescue where had hasn’t found a home in 4yrs.
We said we would try to help because already his life is passing by.
Tizon is 9yrs old, shy, gentle and worried. He can’t grow older in a kennel 🙏🏻
Let’s get him a home 🏠

Coming back to Walnut 😍
We really want to push him for a home as he’s sooo sooooo ready.
Walnut was exported from Ireland to Spain. He was then dropped off at a shelter in Murcia & leishmania positive.
He’s been treated for that and we will retest soon.
He’s a big strong boy, calm as a cucumber 🥒 and would suit any first time adopter or retiree that wants company, gentle strolls and off course the odd blow out in a big fenced area or garden.
He’s absolutely wonderful 😍

When you’re an older chap you get to wear an older fashioned jumper 🤗
Peter had to have a dental today as he had infected rotten teeth.
He’s been such a good boy, so sweet and loving ❤️
He’ll be heading to Fast Friends Greyhound Adoption Center in New Hampshire where he will be looking for a new home.
In Spain it’s so hard to get older big black boys adopted but we’ve heard that many Greyhound adopters over the pond love a snoozy low key Galgo to join them during retirement.
Contact them directly if you are interested ❤️
Just look at him. The USA is sooo lucky to have him 💕

Starsky 😍 has been at GDS a while now and he doesn’t present himself truly when meeting potential adopters.
He’s scared at first and pulls away but once he knows you he’s fabulous.
He loves to be with those he knows and trusts and we do think once he’s out the kennels he’ll be much more confident in general.
He’s 6yrs old and time is passing by from year to the next so quickly.
Who else thinks time is speeding up? Let’s not have Starsky grow old in a kennel.

Careto is 3yrs old and looking for a home.
He’s a wonderful boy, very loving but you can’t get too confident because he can freak out unexpectedly.
I wouldn’t recommend kissing him in the face or any dog for that matter, but we all know we do it 🥴
For this reason Careto might be happier without small children in the home.
Careto does love a head scratch and coming to you for cuddles at his own pace. Just don’t force.
Sadly Careto has a great disadvantage as he has leishmania. It’s under control but we know it will be harder to find him a home. If he finds a home in Spain we also help with leishmania treatment if needed.
He’s a boy, he has leishmania, it already feels like doomsday… let’s not allow that to happen!
Please let’s find this gorgeous boy a home 🙏🏻❤️
