Tune into EP 1 of cozy lofi design corners 🌱: I interview @okayzade who built and launched an incredible mobile app into the App Store, all through Replit.
~~~~~
Today @Replit, we’re introducing the easiest way to vibe code mobile apps and publish them to the App Store.
I remember back when I built my first mobile app, I sat beside engineers for hours trying to make the native experiences feel just right. The haptics, the bottom sheet transitions, and more. Mobile App development has always been such a headache.
Now, with Replit Agent, it’s truly just a prompt away.
This is by far one of my most favorite projects I’ve worked, alongside the power team (@ink_404, @armaanagwl, @jordwalke, Laima, Milos, and more).
Try it now, and send feedback my way! This is just the beginning.
Massive new Replit feature just dropped. @amasad and I sit down to discuss React and announce full end to end mobile development in Replit. Build and ship native apps to the App Store - all from inside of Replit.
AI agents can prototype apps… But shipping real software takes hours of testing, debugging, and refactoring.
Agent 3 is 10× more autonomous — it keeps going where others get stuck.
The “Full Self-Driving” moment of software.
Are you a great mobile web / React Native dev and want to build Replit's mobile app in California? You are in for an incredible experience.
Exciting News: I am joining @Replit to lead product development!
A couple months ago, I started using Replit for my own AI driven coding projects and it was immediately clear that AI is going to enable the next billion programmers. And Replit made it so easy. I have decades of programming experience but I’d rather use Replit to spin up new ideas. I was full on Replit-pilled.
I visited the Replit office to share ideas about what kinds of UIs might be possible for AI driven development. The energy there felt like the energy among the close knit group of people that I created ReactJS with at early Facebook. It’s hard to describe but everyone I know from that era has been chasing that high. This was the place to be.
The definition of “programmer” is going to evolve rapidly. We have not yet discovered the optimal UI paradigm for generating software using AI. It’s going to take determined, open minded people to discover it.
Join me at Replit if you want to help discover what the future of building software looks like for the next billion developers.
AI is incredible at writing code.
But that's not enough to create software. You need to set up a dev environment, install packages, configure DB, and, if lucky, deploy.
It's time to automate all this.
