Well so far @andyburnham the culture Secretary has refused to do anything to support saving the UK’s oldest working cinema or birthplace of Heavy Metal. Both on the UK’s most historic grassroots arts street. So here’s an open invite: Come to Brum and promise to save them.

So Cadent have absolutely DESTROYED the block paving on Waterloo Street in two separate areas, so just like Colmore Row, prepare for these areas to be replaced with tarmac for the foreseeable future. Fed up of finally getting improvements to the City just for them to be ruined.

46yrs since The Crown regular & greatest rock drummer of all time, Led Zeppelin’s John Bonham sadly died aged 32. Bonham was regularly found pre-Zep behind a drum kit or at Henry’s Blueshouse at The Crown with Plant, Osbourne and Iommi

The Crown remains closed after 12 1/2 yrs

The 2 & 1/2 year failure of Birmingham civic leaders to step in and CPO what was the UK’s oldest working cinema AND the birthplace of Black Sabbath is, frankly, embarrassing.

A city is defined by its stories. Birmingham’s leaders are letting ‘developers’ erase our story.
