After eight months off for the toughest but best assignment of my life (my little boy), I'm back in the ABC's Washington DC bureau with the awesome team and ready for a big few years.
Inside the fascinating movement to 'Make America Procreate Again' for 7.30. This was my last piece before I take a big chunk of leave... returning to DC early next year to cover this amazing part of the world: https://t.co/N7CpZGK4kq
@swegen31 Look, it's a long way from the Mount Wellington cable car debate but I still miss Tassie! Thanks for your kind words. Hope you're well too mate
After the horrible incident involving @LaurenTomasi, our crew was tear-gassed and my camera operator shot in the chest with either a rubber or foam bullet. We're both safe but this shouldn't happen to members of the press just trying to do their jobs - https://t.co/fKcVBmxV2J
Next on #ForeignCorrespondent … @L_Day goes to one of the most sought-after pieces of real estate on the planet – Greenland.
Tuesday 6 May at 8pm on ABC TV and ABC iview.
Very excited to share that I’ll soon be moving to Washington DC as North America correspondent with the ABC. I'll miss South-East Asia, its people and their stories but looking forward to working with the fabulous DC bureau team.
UPDATE: A US-funded hospital in a refugee camp near the Thai-Myanmar border has been forced to suspend services as of today, following an order by US President Trump freezing all foreign development assistance for 90 days. (1/4)
