Malaysia Airlines has confirmed that flight MH89 from Tokyo Narita International Airport to Kuala Lumpur was cancelled today after the aircraft aborted its take-off due to a technical issue involving one of its engines.

The national carrier said that all 160 passengers and crew on board the Airbus A330-300 are safe.

In a statement issued here, Malaysia Airlines apologised for the disruption and confirmed that all affected passengers are being assisted with alternative travel arrangements.

@Daisyjanew @Acyn Your infant mortality rate is the highest amongst wealthy nations. That should tell you all you need to know.

@tfy1958 @craigwreid @Lynnburry I'm my personal experience there is definitely a surplus of vacation homes in FL. There are more for sale in our park than ever before and not selling, with lower prices. Anecdotally, the same is true in any park where I have friends/acquaintances.

@Lance_Edelman @CityNewsTO Seriously buddy. Watch something besides FOX, and get your head out of your ass.

@futonsrf I saw them play in St. John's one time in the '80's. They did a great show, real performers. Didn't meet them but I was a friend of your Uncle Ray, and your dad, and met you when you were just a toddler. Thanks for sharing this today; it brought back a lot of great memories.

@RichWhe67515728 I know the family and remember that awful time. It haunts them still today.

College graduation speeches are often evergreen. They can be given at any time, similar from decade to decade.

Which is why Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker’s “How To Spot An Idiot” at Northwestern’s graduation is so genius.

It is the speech for TODAY

@mikep_lbi I can almost hear the silence and smell the cool salt air. I'm a little envious today!

@CBCNL Already tried and failed in Ramea. Hopefully the technology will be better than what NL Hydro used. It's system has now been sold and the hydrogen generation dismantled.

@PanzerKat @iontacar @bfry1981 Knife deaths in the UK were about 235 in 2020. Based on population, that would be equivalent to about 2800 deaths in the US. The US actually had over 42,000 gun deaths. They are not equivalent.

@Canuklhead @LikeAMother2 @CBCNL Canuklhead at least part of the answer is in the tweet you responded to. Diabetes complications cost millions to our healthcare system. Preventing those complications with CGM and other strategies is a better way to spend the money.

@PeterCBC The Provincial Government is a Bell customer. Reputable businesses don't provide customer service details. Besides, there are privacy laws against this.
