🇭🇹 A 20-year-old Haitian immigrant and recent Springfield, Ohio, high school graduate has died after being struck by a semi on I-70, with members of the local Haitian community describing his death as a suicide following mounting pressure from ICE, WHIO TV reports.
Pierre Damas Bel had recently been ordered to wear a GPS ankle monitor after losing Temporary Protected Status, according to community reports. Friends said he felt humiliated and struggled with the monitoring, outlet LSV Media said.
Ohio authorities say Bel exited his car and entered traffic; they have not yet publicly ruled the death a suicide.

The thing is you can’t pick what is wrong and what is right whenever you feel like it. Karl Lagerfeld got his exhibition, Dilara Findikoglu is still working, Alexander Wang is holding runway shows again…
Basically they use Equifax’s The Work Number system. You can get a copy of your data from there or put a freeze on it so you won’t have to deal with this

🚨Genesee County uses Flock cameras to capture and search vehicle data. But when Kettering University student Josh Tewolde requested records showing where the cameras are, who accessed the data and whether his vehicle was scanned, the county withheld key information.
Its excuse? The records belong to Flock, a private contractor. But the county’s own contract says it owns the data.
Josh is suing because government should not be able to hide public surveillance records behind a private company. If the government uses the cameras, the public deserves transparency.
