Our wonderful committee doing what they do best today and every day - sharing science experiments with the rest of school on the playground! @GreatSciShare
An amazing day of wonderful, exciting, practical science shows for our children - the only way to celebrate Lab 13 turning 13 years old this week! @Ri_Science#scienceinschools
Can you see photosynthesis? π€ We investigated how a light source affected the speed of photosynthesis by counting the number of bubbles produced by this pondweed each minute! Fabulous working scientifically skills by Y3 ππ»
Lab_13 is on the road today! Running rocket-fuelled outreach sessions all day today and tomorrow at Denfield Park Primary School π
Get in touch for more info about Lab_13 visits to your Beds/Northants school ππ»
We have started a gardening club and itβs my fav hour of the weekβ€οΈ
We have tidied and repaired planters, planted raspberryβs, beans, potatoes, radish, turnips, squash, peas, tomatoes, onions & herbs! Next up seed bombs & animal homes β€οΈ #OutdoorAdventures
A brilliant way to end the Y3 unit on bones, joints and muscles, the children dissected a chicken wing and were able to identify the muscles, bones, tendons and blood vessels that make up this joint! ππ»π
Itβs that time again! New committee members incoming! Itβs Y5s turn to be replaced but with 27 applicants itβs a very tough job to get! We started with a practical interview and a building challenge - 12 finalists are through to the interview stage tomorrow!
Best science club ever! We investigated the effects of brown vs. white sugar on a cookie recipe! The results were delicious π€€
And we learnt about the difference in the sugars and why the brown sugars were more moist and tastier! π
Outdoor volcanos today with EYFS for @ScienceWeekUK We built 5 volcanos and added 1,2,3,4 or 5 teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate to each one - we then added vinegar and timed how long they took to erupt! π
Today we set up a βfair testβ in the lab with Year 3 - investigating the question βWill adding fruit to our jelly make it take longer to set?β - watch this space for our results! @ScienceWeekUK
