🗳️🌹In terms of combined first preference votes, the slates achieved:

Mainstream: 9,073
Momentum: 8,540
Restoration: 3,404

[Labour Elects @LabElects]

🚨The NEC election results have been announced🚨

Headline results from the CLP division are:

-All four Labour to Win candidates are elected.
- Mainstream and Momentum have each elected 2/3 of their candidates.
- Restoration has secured one seat.

Labour to Win also secured both Local Govt division seats and electing Elsie Greenwood as Youth Rep.

It seems LtW’s voter management helped them secure more seats while Mainstream/Momentum/Restoration saw more uneven vote distribution.

Some people have messaged asking why there are so many affiliates, for this contest CLPs are counted in the “affiliate” section along with the Trade Unions and Socialist Societies.

Candidates need three nominations of which two have to be Trade Unions.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🌹
Michael Marra is leading the pack with nominations from 8 MSPs/21 MPs/20 affiliates.

Joe Fagan has comfortably made the ballot with 5 MSPs/6 MPs/14 affiliates.

Monica Lennon is fighting to make the ballot with 11 affiliate nominations, but still short one MSP and one MP.

Nominations close on Monday and candidates need 3 MSPs/3 MPs/3 affiliates to make the ballot.

So, it's crunch time for Lennon's campaign, all eyes on Carol Mochan MSP and the five MPs yet to nominate, particularly Lillian Jones MP and Patricia Ferguson MP.
