A6: It depends...today I let them know that our end of the day circle would be discussing something that happened with our storyteller. I asked them to reflect on it and share later. It wasn't our best circle, so I wonder if I should have done it right then??

A5: Jen and I once did both of our classes in a circle. Many of our students were having conflicts on the playground. We were shocked with the suggestions many added to help solve the issues. Talk about a large circle!!!

A5: My students are disappointed if I don't do at least a morning and afternoon circle. They often come with things they wish to share, especially after a weekend. (relationship building circle time, not necessarily restorative )

A4: I've used them several times in the hall. Sometimes after recess, or once I get class started on a task and have 5 minutes to discuss. They seem to go smoothly and we all feel positive afterwards.

yes, students have become familiar with them and are more skilled at answering questions. they no longer feel threatened or "in trouble".
