Tonight, Labour MPs voted to scrap the two child limit – a move that puts us on course to drive the biggest reduction of child poverty in a single Parliament.
The Tories and Reform voted against it.
Don’t let anyone tell you voting Labour doesn’t make a difference 🌹
Consultation on new councils for West Sussex ends today. Have your say here: https://t.co/vRy1vxENMe. The biggest change to local authorities for 50 years! I support a new council along the coast of West Sussex, but it must be a council working with and listening to communities
Happy New Year! Another year over and what have we done…
Thank you to all who volunteer or work to support our communities and businesses, including our great council staff. Have a great 2026.

Scrapping the two-child limit will be transformational for children.
This is a much-needed fresh start in our country’s efforts to eradicate child poverty and while there is more to do it gives us strong foundations to build on.

Promise made, promise delivered. Labour’s transformational Renters’ Rights Bill has received Royal Assent, meaning it is now law.
Proud to have introduced legislation to improve the lives of millions of renters across the country with the protections and security they deserve.
