@sloughtory can we get a response please? There are thousands of residents wanting an answer & surely the local press will be interested too!
@Adil_4LSM's greed to profit at the expense of Slough residents & prevent much needed social & affordable housing to be built is appalling
My deepest condolences are with Her Majesty the Queen & the Royal Family on the passing of Prince Phillip, who supported the Queen & steadfastly served our country across 7 decades. Flags at the council have been lowered to half mast & the Mayor will be making a statement shortly
After years of Tory neglect on issues of crime and justice, Thames Valley residents and police officers deserve much better.
On 6 May vote for @laetisiacarter as your new Thames Valley Police & Crime Commissioner who will put the needs of our communities first. #VoteLabour
Passing of Prince Philip is an immense personal loss for his family and the Queen, given he was always by her side, as they together served the nation.
Of course his proud record of military service during the nation’s darkest hours can never be forgotten.
May he rest in peace.
A year ago, we lost Cllr Shabnum Sadiq, aged 39, to covid. She left a husband & 5 children
Slough has lost 337 people to covid; 5 more in w/e 19/03
Our thoughts are with Shabnum's family & friends & the family & friends of all those who have lost their lives during the pandemic
Great to attend @LabourSlough's virtual manifesto launch with councillors, candidates, activists and members of the press.
This fantastic manifesto of policies will support our town and help us rebuild after the devastating impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
#OneYearOn and millions of hardworking people have been #ExcludedUK from financial support during a global #pandemic. It’s time the #conservatives stop with the excuses and and help out hardworking taxpayers.
With UK suffering worst recession of any major economy, thanks to inept Tory policies, businesses in Slough and across our country find themselves in precarious position.
Despite repeated requests, millions of hardworking taxpayers sadly still excluded from proper Govt support.
The latest news on our town centre regeneration
✅ 2 new buildings on the @futureworksSL1 site @ Station Square
✅ Plans for the regeneration of TVU site submitted in summer
✅ Plans for @Slough_Central redevelopment of QueensmereObservatory to be submitted this autumn
With its terrible, burnt “oven-ready” deal, incompetent Tory Govt inflicting huge damage to our economy and sadly people will pay the price with jobs.
Johnson promised frictionless trade and sunlit uplands, but we got #Brexit betrayal and broken promises.

Shocked to see mobs and police trying to intimidate and clear Delhi #FarmersProtest, after stopping their water, electricity and internet.
Violence can’t be condoned, but if people in power abuse peaceful protesters, it’ll merely make their movement stronger.

Huge congratulations to everyone involved in mass vaccination efforts in Slough and across the country.
Your efforts are saving lives and protecting local communities - thank you.
Important to thank our National Health Service, medics and wonderful volunteers heading up the huge programme in #Slough Mass Vaccination Centre.
Instead of falling for conspiracy theories, good to see so many get vaccinated, as we try to chart a path out of this pandemic.
Throughout this crisis, the Govt has been too slow to act.
They must learn from previous failures and do better when it comes to their future plans on travel quarantines, school closures & the vaccine rollout.

The Government must put an end to the misery and heartache for leaseholders, as the likes of me have been demanding for years now.
However, as @SeemaMalhotra1 eloquently highlights, Tory inaction and slow pace on the cladding crisis is letting down so many, who feel trapped.
Having first slashed their budgets, Government promised it’ll “do whatever is necessary to support councils”, now dishonestly forcing them to increase council tax.
Unfair, unethical and economically illiterate to continue austerity and increase taxes in the midst of a pandemic.
Pleased the Health Secretary agrees with me that the local healthcare teams in #Slough have done an excellent job in the vaccine rollout so far.
With the mass vaccination centre opened this week, I'm sure their excellent work will continue.

We need a national effort to vaccinate Britain.
This is mission-critical to our economy, our NHS, and to rebuilding Britain.
This is the new contract between the Government and the British people: we quarantined, you deliver the vaccine.
