@UpdatingOnRome Before that, there was another domino.
The invention of main stream media.
Many tragedy would not happen if people had X and xAI, instead of believing what newspaper and radio said.
I have moved to Proton Mail, but still have many things on Google, being AI viewed and sensored.
Such a scum company.
That's why I cancled my YouTube Premium and moved to uBlock Origin and then Brave Browser.
@TheoRettich@Marduk21@griefcliff World of Tanks can make a no-hacker environment without kernel-level anti-cheat since about 20 years ago.
Its' either nowadays companies useless, or they mean to install backdoors in your computer.
I was complaining since then,
and already started resistance against privacy theft, by using Brave Browser for a while.
Others may not sensitive about disk scaning, knowing not privacy is also property. But when a kind of visible property is under threaten of a Chinese company, they cannot bear anymore.
Kernel-level anti-cheat was a final push for me to just leave toxic PvP games.
It may cause withdrawal symptoms in the beginning, making people feel lacking excitement.
But in the long-term, it's good for mental health. I found I was hurting myself by playing these games, instead of excaping from reality and healing myself.
Privacy, and now property safety, are additional reward for this.
If you still want PvP game experience, I recommend World of Tanks.
No kernel-level anti-cheat, no hackers, and the gameplay is naturally against irritable players, only patient ones can win.
If you still want the fun of shooting games, I recommend Helldivers 2. It's made by people with military experiences, with a higher level realism but still balanced with fun.

@Marduk21@griefcliff That was how you guys said when people wanted to protect their privacy,
Now you say this when people don't want their property being destroyed by a Chinese company.
With hackers or not, your game is toxic anyway, it doesn't worth sacrificing others's privacy or property.
@F3NR15ULF3R@helldivers2 the Halo AR and SMG are not bad tho.
the armor is also good at stealth meanwhile saving stims(and the animation to stim) when chaotic battle happens.
ofc a collab warbond cannot be critically good, or people who are not fans of Halo or Killzone won't like it.
@khaliltooshort I have an idea, WW11 games like War Thunder, should add the historical Nazi icon paint on Germany planes' tails back.
If anyone disagree, I can say "just ignore it, it doesn't matter".
It’s very cool that I can’t use AI to locate quotes from ancient historians because Google doesn’t like the content of those quotes. Look at the thinking process. It finds the quote perfectly fine, but then pretends it can’t. AI is censoring Roman history.
