This morning, accompanied HCM Dr @himantabiswa as he assessed the flood hit areas of Pandu.

Visited the sluice gate of BBC Colony to took stock of the situation. Afterwards, inspected the WRD sluice gate at Pandunath Devalaya.

The residents of the area called for the construction of a guardwall to protect the temple. On the direction of HCM, the Water Resources department will work & construct the gaurd wall soon.

On the way to Majuli, HCM Dr @himantabiswa inspected a sluice gate and erosion prevention works of Water Resources Department at Sissikalghar, Dhemaji.

Me along with colleagues Shri @ranojpeguassam, Shri @jayanta_malla & MP Shri @PradanBaruah accompanied HCM during the visit.

HCM Dr @himantabiswa today inspected the flood & erosion situation in Matmora, Dhakuakhana. The works to install geo bags & porcupine pipes is already underway.

To prevent the embankments, Water Resources Department has prepared Rs 94 Cr scheme covering 21km from Sissikalghar to Tekeliphuta.

Along with colleague Shri @ranojpeguassam, Shri @jayanta_malla, MP Shri @PradanBaruah & MLA Shri @doley_naba accompanied HCM during the inspection.

Very distressed to learn about the tragic demise of a 17 years old Kaushik Bordoloi Amphi of Morigaon also in instance the injury of 12 students due to falling of tree in Dhekiajuli.

Praying for speedy recovery of the injured and extended my deepest condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of crisis.

Govt of Assam is taking every steps to mitigate the causalities of #CycloneRemal

The BSNL tower in Haflong is damaged, and evacuation efforts are underway. Kindly stay indoors and follow necessary instructions

In light of the damage caused by #CylconeRemal , HCM Dr @himantabiswa has directed @CSAssam_ to hold a VC with District Commissioners , @sdma_assam & @DGPAssamPolice at 5:30 PM today to assess the situation and monitor precautionary measures across the state.
