Appreciate the small things in life. Understand your biases and what it would take to change your mind.
@tracewoodgrains There is evidence that people with dyslexia are overrepresented in business leaders. Probably has more to do with overcoming adversity than the disability itself and people tend to not highlight the people that don’t overcome the disadvantages.

@Wilson__Valdez What did you think anti-semitism was? Vibes? Papers? Essays?
Much of the Arab and Muslim world brings their kids up on literal Nazi propaganda. And it’s a mainstay of modern politics in many of these countries.
In 2005, Mein Kampf made best seller lists in Turkey.
@LinkofSunshine Cultural differences.
Men: “I don’t know if I want to go or not so I’ll RSVP just in case.”
Women: “I won’t RSVP unless I can make sure I’m going to be available.”
@Needle_of_Arya@reesetheone1 Even if she felt these things were necessary (and some of them might be) it feels like a huge misstep to actually say that out loud instead of talking about the economy and crime.
@Del_Solstice@trysephiroth007@ElGachaJ@ariichiver The CCP put a boot on their neck because they didn’t like the public uproar over it, even if it was nonsense.
If they hadn’t complied, the entire company might have been forcibly shut down.
It sucks for everyone involved, but that’s the downside of doing business in China.
@ZootyZootZoot@RichardHanania Sweden actually tried socialism for a bit. It utterly failed. Social programs funded by high taxes aren’t examples of socialism.
Sweden doesn’t even have a statutory national minimum wage. They left it up to the markets.
@estherzelda0514 I actually think this likely violates gambling laws in most/all states. If the host keeps even a penny of profit as a house cut, it’s no longer exempt under social gambling exceptions.
I doubt the other guy has a claim since the host isn’t running a legal casino though.
@gnawbone_@butlerzd3n@hutchinson War is bad. It would be awesome if everyone laid down their arms and stopped fighting. Not sure if you agree, but yeah.
@gnawbone_@butlerzd3n@hutchinson Hamas had municipal control of Gaza before the war and Egypt was the one that primarily prevented Gazans from leaving Gaza via the Egyptian border.
@maxkatz515 I don’t even feel comfortable criticizing Bibi at this point with how antisemitic things have gotten and I was a mega hater before 10/7 when these kids heard about Gaza for the first time. They dont even know why they should hate him aside from (((reasons))).
@KaelBleak@realvisceralist Kinetic novels like Higurashi and Narcissu and Mahoyo are the minority and have a single story
Branching are more common. They generally have a handful of paths that each focus on a different love interest and each path may have a good and bad ending, with some game over choices
