Curious about "missing" laws?
Here are some explanations from our previous colleague and coordinator Dianne Hubbard.
When Is a Law Not Really a Law? https://t.co/cXNfqcnhZn
As we approach the end of January and prepare to fully embrace 2025, let's take a moment to reflect on the inspirations that shaped our journey in 2024. Have you paused to consider the key moments that guided your path last year and helped clarify what to focus on in 2025?
🌍 As we look ahead to 2025, we are grateful for the support we've received—but with changing donor landscapes, we now rely on YOU, the Namibian community, to help sustain our work. 💪💙
Support local justice. Support LAC.

"There's no better time than now to express our gratitude for everything we've accomplished together. From all of us at LAC, thank you for being a part of our journey and for your unwavering support. 🙌 #ThankYou#Gratitude#LAC"

🕊️ At the LAC, we believe that communication and exchange are key to driving positive change. Last week, we had the privilege of hosting a delegation of judges from Angola, strengthening our shared commitment to safeguarding justice for all, especially the most vulnerable.

Yolande Engelbrecht highlighted our laws: Combating of Domestic Violence, Combating of Rape, and the Child Care and Protection Act, which are excellent, but their execution seems is a challenge.
🌟 Good day Gobabis! The journey to justice starts here! LAC and the EU have teamed up to bring vital paralegal training to San communities in the Omaheke Region. 5 days of knowledge, empowerment and community safety!

With the support of the CCPR (Centre for Civil and Political Rights) in Geneva, our elections campaign is focused on two concerns voiced by the Human Rights Council in their third periodic review of Namibia April 2024. #Namibiavotes2024#HumanRights
As Namibia prepares for elections, voters are carefully assessing the performance of political leaders. One possible factor to consider is how the Human Rights Committee, an international body, has evaluated Namibia's progress on fundamental rights.
