@BuffaloSportsG1@MattParrino Good comparison. This is a good example how the Cooks catch should have been called a catch. You could also use the KC playoff game last year where Worthy caught it when Bishop has possession of it AND it hit the ground but it was called complete. Calls seem to be subjective
@RGIII@NFL@OuttaPocketRG3@BuffaloBills Go look at the Xavier Worthy catch against the Bills in the playoffs last year where Cole Bishop picked it off and tell me it’s not the same thing except more in favor of Cooks this year @RGIII
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente Like tonight, you interpret the catch by the rule book but others or most could pull precedent and or interpretations of the rule that it SHOULD have been a catch. It all makes for good arguement and good tv.
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente You can also call a penalty in every play based on interpretation of the rule book. It comes down to refs interpretations on each play unlike baseball where you call visually see strikes, fouls, catches, etc. that’s part of the NFL’s ratings because it makes for drama
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente It’s part of the game for the NFL, subjective calls make for good tv even with review. Steritore on the giving his opinion even helps especially when it’s wrong. The way the rule is written, you can make a case for every call or missed call in the NFL.
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente To each their own, unfortunate for Bills fans to be on the wrong side of two plays that were called opposite ways with clear evidence that one was less of a catch than the other and both affected the Bills out comes. Humans will always make errors and it is what it is
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente Unfortunate for Bills fans either way because the result won’t change. We lose to the chiefs the same way we lose to the broncos just on opposite sides of the ball with different opinions of the rule.
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente I get your by the books argument but Seems like precedent doesn’t add up and it continues to be very subjective. In a similar situation calls go opposite ways with more conclusive evidence in favor of Buffalo on both calls but unfortunately for the Bills they came out empty
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente So your argument that the ball was successfully intercepted is potentially wrong and should have been reviewed to determine whether it was caught or intercepted?
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente I was an NFL full time EQ manager for 8 years. I left for more time with my family. The discrepancy between these two calls and how the outcome was determined in live time is egregious. That is the NFL though, every call and every rule is made to be opinion based in the moment
@stoolpresidente I worked as a full time Equipment Manager for 8 years in the NFL and was at every game, every practice, everything a team needed to do. This situation seems wild to me how it played out.
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente With your understanding of the rule book, how does this stack up? Seems as though worthy not only had less possession the Brandin Cooks but the ball also hits the ground
@JarodactylYT@stoolpresidente What’s your take on the Xavier Worthy catch last year against the Bills in the playoffs then? I would be very curious to hear that your current argument of a non catch holds up using the Worthy catch as precedent
@stoolpresidente Please keep pushing this, nothing would have been better than a Bills/Patriots AFC Championship in foxboro win or lose from either team
@stoolpresidente@stoolpresidente https://t.co/QeNxZtJSKp. @stoolpresidente here is the video. Equally as impactful and less of a catch than Cooks by FAR. Ball not only hits the ground, Bishop has 2 hands on it during the catch
