BREAKING: Donald Trump's White House attorney from his first term shreds his plan to pardon treasonous January 6th rioters as a "tragic event" and rips into his record as president.

And he was just getting started...

"I don’t think anybody in our history has more tarnished the rule of law than Donald Trump and I don’t think it restrains him at all, the concept that he might do that again. I think it’s highly possible that he will go forward with these pardons," said attorney Ty Cobb on CNN.

"I would join the choir with the former vice president whom I respect and know to be a man of great character and who loves his country," Cobb continued. "I think this would be a tragic event further demeaning the rule of law to those of us in this country."

"And it's not going to go unseen around the world. I mean this is the type of conduct when viewed internationally makes it impossible to distinguish the United States from a third world country or a South American dictatorship," he went on.

"This is really lawlessness of the highest order and there's no principled basis for it. I think it would be a very sad event," Cobb added.

The second election of Donald Trump represents the most direct assault on the rule of law in the history of American democracy. He is totally lawless and his supporters are following his lead.

We must prepare ourselves to stop these criminals and traitors, and we do that by sweeping the mid-term elections in two years. It's a long road ahead, but if we keep the faith and band together we can save this country.
