Yesterday, I met with outgoing British Ambassador @HMAMelanieR. Her dedication to fostering dialogue and progress in Zimbabwe is commendable. I appreciate her insights and the collaboration between our nations. Wishing her all the best in her future endeavors.
I am proud to officially commission the Sabi Star Lithium Mine, a significant step towards harnessing our nation's mineral wealth for sustainable development. This mine's potential will empower our economy and create opportunities for our people.
Thank you for your trust and peaceful participation in the recent elections. Our democracy is a testament to the sacrifices of many. Let's continue our unity and commitment to progress. Together, we'll build a resilient Zimbabwe, honouring those who came before us.
The media, both in Southern Africa and internationally, seemed to have a biased agenda against Zanu PF and President Emmerson Mnangangwa throughout the election period. Instead of presenting a fair and balanced coverage of their campaign, they consistently favored Nelson Chamisa and his party.
They consistently refrained from publishing anything positive about their campaign right from the beginning, instead promoting Chamisa as the preferred candidate.
Moreover, they portrayed Chamisa as the inevitable winner and even portrayed him as some Jesus, despite knowing that he does not have widespread support among the people of Zimbabwe.
They even went to an extend of hiring so called Fake Analysts and Twitter influencers in an attempt to persuade the public that the election was rigged. The people have spoken, and some must make peace.
Congratulations President Mnangangwa, all the best . ✊🏽
