Productive City Council meeting tonight w/ brilliant Pledge of Allegiance by BVE 1st grader, Edith Fritsch! Voted unanimously to increase funding to Lafayette School District’s Crossing Guard Program. Great example of City/Schools relationship & commitment to keep our kids safe!

And after mayor’s coffee, I walked Lafayette’s East End & visited with around 20 businesses. Terrific people, committed to community, who really make this special area of Laf what it is. I reiterated the City’s commitment to local business & discussed ideas to stimulate commerce.
Terrific mayor’s coffee this morning with a fantastic group at Starbucks on the East End of town. Great group discussion about multiple important city matters. Many thanks to East End leaders Dawn Eames and Cheryl McDonald, and a few others (not pictured), that came early!
