@BrownBrandon503@radioactivered The old Soviet Union lit off a thing called the Tsar Bomba which is accepted now as having a yield of 50 megatons. Thankfully, they left out a uranium component which would have potentially boosted the yield to 100 megatons ang created great whacking gobs of fallout.
@rappinjimmyb@ingelramdecoucy@NYMag And if you are anywhere to the right of that guy, you will be called an "extremist" by the Totalitarian Left and their propaganda network.
@ingelramdecoucy@NYMag They are all part of the Totalitarian Left that inevitably ends with the French reign of Terror and the Cambodian killing fields.
@BrownBrandon503@radioactivered You are probably thinking of the Castle Bravo test which was supposed to have a yield of maybe 6 megatons but generated a 15 megaton blast due to unexpected involvement of an isotope of lithium (part of the system for containing hydrogen isotopes) in the device.
@ShamashAran There is an old (nonworking) paper shell cutie pie ionization detector sitting about three feet from me. Gives you an idea of what I did in a former life. Very good, and correct, article.
