@David_Ornstein@TheAthleticFC Pretty lame from the FA, offering FIFA the opportunity to normalise the Balogun incident for their own selfish benefit when they should be taking a stand with the rest of world football.
@GoodwinMJ Also no surprise to those who know that most Muslim boys are named Mohammed. Easy fixed by concerned English snowflakes naming their kids Rupert, or similar, for a couple of years if you’re that worried.
@trivet1806@PippaCrerar@Annaisaac If you mean tipping off, that only applies to the regulated sector and only applies where the suspected party isn’t already aware of the investigation.
It’s not an offence as a journalist to report that an investigation is taking place (subject to contempt considerations).
@SamMonsonNFL That's just the individual preference of whoever is recording the stats, Sam. It's not a rule.
One guy might record it as a draw, another as a loss. It's not part of the rules of the game.
@ellencarmichael What absolute bollocks.
Americans are happy to accept illegality and corruption because they feel that they probably end up on the 'winning' side more often than not. That this feeling is demonstrable nonsense never seems to cross their minds.
@vicderbyshire What a waste of time.
Man makes a fool of himself telling silly lies on television - it's really not necessary to drill into those lies years later to prove that an obvious lie was a lie. Looking forward to next week's re-enactment of a man tearing up sealant from a pond.
@LukeElderTV The logic is that the teams and the fans attending the game (and no doubt, associated infrastructure staff, etc) have made plans for the game based on the scheduled kick off time.
You can't just bring it forward six hours at short notice for the benefit of folk watching on tv.
@SPFLWatch I think your personal feelings are influencing that assessment of the United team that year.
Aye, United were a tragi-comic disaster but were only relegated on the final day and would have stayed up comfortably but for you-know-who.
