Earlier today in Harlem at the ribbon cutting of the new National Urban League Empowerment Center.

I was seated on the front row with Mayor-Elect Zohran Mamdani, Governor Kathy Hochul, Councilman Yusef Salaam, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Michelle E. Banks (President & CEO of the Apollo Theater), Michelle Miller (award-winning media correspondent and First Lady of the National Urban League), and David Solomon (Chairman of Goldman Sachs), along with many civic, faith, and cultural leaders.

Under the leadership of Marc H. Morial, we celebrate the launch of this vital new center for empowerment and equity. Together, we continue the shared mission to advance justice, opportunity, and economic freedom for all.
