@RobMKendall We worked our entire lives to afford a couple acres in the country. Now those few acres are assessed as if we were subdivision developers. We can not afford to pay the taxes on our property because we aren’t farming our yard.

@MicahBeckwith Who has an extra $5000 laying around, let alone retirees? We already pay more than $6000 for our “excess” yard. This will be almost $1000 rent PER MONTH we pay to the government for the privilege of wanting a quiet retirement

@MicahBeckwith Hamilton County charges a ridiculously high rate on what they call “excess” land. We worked our whole lives to be able to afford a couple acres of land. Our assessment on the “excess” just more than doubled. Our property taxes will go up more than $5000 next year.
