Fortnite will indeed lose players, but the game as a whole will never die. There are plenty of people who don't like GTA games or aren't allowed to play them. Fortnite is also a completely different game compared to GTA. I think the whole thing is just way too overhyped.

GTA 6 is the most overhyped game ever. After seeing all the info and gameplay, you might as well call it "Goon Theft Auto," because that’s the kind of game it’s turning out to be. The only thing I’m actually hyped for is Doomsday lol

Maybe a solo-only mode where you can just do those quests on the BR map by yourself, without fights and so on.

And this is EXACTLY why I do not do story quests:

As someone who usually waits till the last minute to do Narrative Quests because we 1) already hear the narrative on update day and 2) struggle to get anything done without being killed, I'm finding it BEYOND frustrating attempting to now do them and hear voice lines + do lore quests without being killed in the middle of them. 😕

PLEASE give us some sort of in-game lore archive, or a separate mode to enjoy the story/even just witness it in, and not keep tying these ONE CHANCE experiences to a chaotic BR that can abruptly cut them short. I can't even name the amount of times I've died this morning trying to do really simple quests like jump in a flusher and then simply survive long enough to hear the full dialogue with Order + Geno.

Longer voicelines are great, but needing an entire minute of safety to listen to them is almost impossible nowadays. Please Epic find some sort of solution for Ch8, it totally ruins the experience

For comparison, GTA 5 didn’t have this in the age rating.

@ShotMarco3 Event Files. It could be a major event, of course, or a prelude to the mini-season. I still don't get why it's supposed to be One Piece themed, but nothing is confirmed yet by real files in the game, so we'll see.
