Our very own Kaela and Georgia have been killing it at the Madison Scouts spring training! DCI takes marching and playing to a whole new level, and two of our mellos will be marching on tour with them all summer!

Year two of attending the Scott Lang Leadership Seminar at Hoover High School! Tonight, we took our future marching band leaders for the 26-27 season to participate in a workshop to learn about creating a positive band culture, and strengthening our leadership skills!

Another successful D8 OMEA JH Solo & Ensemble! Our 7th and 8th grade bands have been working for the past 2 months to prepare for yesterday’s performances at Alliance High School! They deserve every bit of these excellent and superior ratings after all their hard work!

This past week the Lake Elementary 4th grade music classes had visitors from the 6th grade band to tell them all about what makes band great! These talented 6th graders demonstrated their instruments and the 4th grade students got to hear all about why they should join band!

Congratulations to 10 Lake Middle School 7th and 8th grade band members who participated in the 2026 OMEA District 8 Middle School Honor Band Festival! Students spent two full days in rehearsal to prepare for a concert with participants from surrounding area schools this evening!
