Dumb perspective from a UCLA great. The Bruins were 3-9 last year. Cal on the road was absolutely a test. San Diego State pulls very good so cal talent they were absolutely a test. Purdue put up 80 points in their first 2 games before coming into the Rose Bowl. Maryland won a game 62-0 to open the season. We would not have been considered favors against any of these teams just last season, these we're all test. In this game the Bruins have an opportunity to enter the Elite conversation in game five of the Chesney era, which is insane, but the narrative that we need to see what this game holds to determine what the Bruins are going to be is just silly. The Bruins trajectory and ceiling is through the roof for years to come.
