“I love having P White as a teacher. He has taught me so much in my 3 years in FFA and I can’t thank him enough for all the hard work he has put in for all his students.” - Seth Shipp, Secretary
To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week we want to thank our advisors. Having to spend time outside of school during competitions, livestock shows, and after school animal care our teachers become more like family.
“Spindle is such a kind person and can always have a good time! She’s so funny and relatable, and I’m so happy I was able to have her as a teacher!!” - Addison Silver, Vice President
“K. White has helped me through every and anything in my life. He taught me the basics of agriculture and piqued me interest in the subject, as well as, got me into FFA. I don’t know where I would be without him.” - Sarah-Hope Carter, President

It’s National FFA Week! Check out this article from the Austin American Statesman to learn more about the work of the Lake Travis FFA. “Sponsor Perry White said the animals would ‘have definitely gotten close to (perishing) without the students’ efforts this past week...”
@LSMinck The animals are drinking out of PVC pipe tubes that the students have made and are cuddling together under lamps. Most of our kids spend hours in their day sliding on the roads trying to get to their animals. They ARE amazing, dedicated, and their work is wildly unseen.
@LSMinck Some students have their animals living out of their garages. Some students have been walking up the hill carrying over 20 gallons of water to hydrate the animals up at the barn. Those who can make it up the hill are driving those stuck at the bottom of the hill.
We are so proud to announce that our FFA president, Sarah-Hope Carter, will be advancing AGAIN!! She was one of ten to advance to the state finals. We wish her the best of luck as she continues her leadership journey. #lthsffa@ltisdschools
