Senior defense reporter Manny Mogato agrees with Senator Trillanes. The footage taken by @ABSCBNNews and other agencies showing the restraint of the NBI agents present corroborates this too, along with the statements from the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Chief of Staff, Gen. Brawner. It's also what Pres. Marcos himself said.

The shots were fired by security staff from either the Sergeant-at-Arms office or private security of a senator. The security services surrounding the Senate stormed in, reacting to the gunfire.

The question now is, who among the senate staff fired, how many of them fired, and why did they fire? What's with all the long-firearms carried by senate security staff at that moment? Why was Sen. Dela Rosa allowed to leave the Senate premises by the staff there and why wasn't he caught by the police cordon around the Senate.

So many questions and I'm tempted to believe Trillanes as he's been right about most things so far, from the Duterte's hidden wealth to the fake war on drugs to the ICC arrest warrants.

Did senators, after hiding an international fugitive, decide to help him evade justice? Isn't that a criminal offence?
