Open your ChatGPT, write an email to CJI Suryakant and ask him that we as citizens of this country whose fundamental rights are being violated want to file a rate of Manda in the court and thus we would request you to take a Suvo Moto cognizance. Send this mail record it. Put out on social media and let everyone at least do their bit. If you cannot go to the ground and support the people.
Activist Saurav Das (@SauravDassss) questions the police response to demonstrations demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation, arguing that peaceful protesters should not be treated as threats to public order.
Das alleges that protesters have been beaten, injured and detained, and claims that Mumbai coordinator Pranay was tortured in police custody. He also raises allegations of mistreatment of women protesters and independent journalists.
Pointing to what he describes as a 36-day record of peaceful demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, Das invokes the constitutional right to protest and demands that authorities provide designated protest sites.
He further alleges that young people are being prevented from registering as voters and questions why the government is unwilling to meet a delegation to discuss their concerns.
With demonstrations taking place in several cities, Das says peaceful protests will continue across the country.
