I think Iโm done making the NFL and fantasy football such a big part of my life.
Not because I suddenly hate football.
I actually still enjoy it.
Iโll still play fantasy football with my friends. Iโll probably still watch games occasionally. Iโll still have teams and players

Where have I been putting my treasure?
My time?
My attention?
My emotions?
My money?
For a long time, far too much of it was going toward sports.
And I donโt want that anymore.
I donโt want to wake up thinking about football.
I donโt want my mood determined by a teamโs

And if I can help someone else along the way, even better.
Football will still be there.
Fantasy football will still be there.
The NFL will continue without me.
But I donโt need to give it my heart anymore.
I want my attention back.
And I want Jesus to have my heart.
Because when I really think about it, thatโs what this comes down to.
Where is my heart?
Jesus said, โFor where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.โ
And I had to ask myself honestly:
Where have I been putting my treasure?
over football.
I donโt want my daughter to remember her dad as the guy who was always watching a game.
I want her to remember me as someone who was present.
I want my wife to have my attention.
I want my family to have my time.
I want my business to have my effort.
