So incredibly proud of our remarkable 4th grader, Aaron Parkar!
This weekend, Aaron was recognized for earning the Individual Outstanding Student Accomplishment in Gifted and Talented Education from the Maryland Gifted and Talented Advisory Council.
Adding to that, Aaron is our Carson Scholar nominee AND a contributing member of our 4th grade math team and MESA team.
His talent is endless! 🎉

It was a week of celebration and gratitude at Berry! Awards assemblies, New Teacher celebration, Parent Involvement Lunch, and over 400lbs of food donated to the Southern MD bank. Way to go, Berry Jaguars!
Giving a very special Shout Out to @berryjaguars School Psychologist, Mrs. Jackson! She is an integral part of our Student Supports Team, providing care, support, and opportunity for all of our students to thrive at both school and home. We appreciate her and all
of her expertise.
@berryjaguars recently hosted several CCPS teacher leaders and specialists for our Guided Visit. Through professional collaboration, evidence seeking classroom visits, and school improvement focused feedback, we have data to help direct our next steps. Big thanks to all who participated!
Doing a little personal shout out. While I’m a Principal by day, my greatest work is that as “Mom.”
Celebrating my daughter (a little late) as she turns 17.
16 was a whirlwind with many new experiences. Grace continues to shine with her big heart (and everything “teenager”), and I am so very proud.
PRESENTING Berry Elementary’s newest recipients of the “Star Staff Award,” Mrs. Sylvie Acevedo and Mrs. Sue Scarafile! These two front office secretaries serve our staff, community, and students with generous hearts and fun energy. Their patience, attention to detail, and service with a smile are just a few of their high- standard qualities! Cheers to Sylvie and Sue! 🎉🖤💛
Berry is ready for Anti-Bullying Spirit Week and Unity Day! Our awesome teacher, Mrs. Warman-Johnson, created a “KIND” backdrop for kids, staff, and families. We look forward to capturing lots of smiles using this board to spread the importance of being KIND!
Mrs. WJ herself is the perfect example of this message. 💛🖤@berryjaguars
The Berry staff has been a shining example of our motto “LEARN - LEAD - ACHIEVE.” From staff recognition to student celebrations and school improvement efforts, we are off to an amazing start.
