2. If it’s a battle royale, every high-tier Viltrumite is aiming for the King first. Imagine Anissa, Lucan, and Conquest all hitting Thragg at once from different angles. He’s "strongest" until he’s getting his eyes gouged by five people at once.

Let’s be honest even someone as powerful as Thragg can't defend his back against five or ten high-tier Viltrumites (like Conquest, Lucan, or Anissa) hitting him simultaneously from different angles.

1. The "All Against One" Scenario
If Thragg had stepped into that pit, every other Viltrumite would have known that he was the biggest obstacle to the throne. Even if they weren't coordinated, the natural instinct in a trial of the strongest is to take out the top dog first.
