Had a great time meeting other Evertonians, catching up with some old friends and getting to meet different people from the Friedken Group in Houston (Dan Friedken owns Everton) at the Premiere League watch party at @pitch25HTX. 2-0 win and we will probably win the league.
@JamesD0101@iammetx I literally couldn't find anything that she might be talking about. Was she calling her trash because she shook her hands with both hands? I legitimately have no idea what could have upset someone about that.
@heymiker They raised them because food costs went up. It's not like it was inexpensive before but it's just tough to stomach that much on a regular basis. The other spots have the same menu costs but they are still busier
Sad to hear that the OG Pappasitos on Richmond near Hillcroft is closing down in September. That spot used to have a wait of 1.5 to 2 hours back in the day. The quality is still there for Tex-mex but their customer base at this spot has continued falling off over the last decade.
What is the best case scenario for Arvell Reese with the Giants? What's the worst case scenario? I'm glad you asked. I've got the best and worst case scenarios for all first round defenders including their stat projections.

@paigered3@Texzyns They lost my business on two different occasions between 2009 and 2019 due to poor service. So, as with any restaurant, it can be about many things. Riel closed after being one of the hottest spots in the city? Was it the neighborhood? Haha
I know your reason will be a simple one, but the reality is that food cost spiked after Covid. We have lived in the neighborhood for 24 years and it was busy after then and during Covid when they had Cinco de Mayo, but any of the young friends in the area simply don't go there to eat because it's too expensive now. Or maybe... it's too scary!!!
@Zanzuhbar No doubt. In fact, I met a Sitos GM from another city on Friday evening and told him it was sad how dead it has become over the last several years and he told me he thought the only reason it was staying open was because it was the original. And even that couldn't save it.
@STEVEPMP Hard to defend price-point for sure. They won't back down off of their ingredient standards but that comes with a substantial price hike since covid... especially for proteins.
