Our debt is astronomical, our currency has gone to shit and most Canadians are unable to afford their day-to-day essentials. Foreign aid to Ukraine (or anywhere else) is a luxury Canada can't afford.
I'm all for helping Ukraine, but there has to be a limit, as it stands now that's $8Bil since Jan 2022, Canadians are going to food banks, around a 35% increase, A slap in the face grocery rebate that, for me, worked out to$4.50 a week (can't even by a bag of chips with that nor a head of cauliflower) People can't afford both rent and food ( just wait till winter comes) Energy cost are astronomical, all this before even adding all the other $billions he's given away over the last few years. This Poor excuse for a leader is fully supported by the NDP Singh!!! A lot of this could of been avoided if it wasn't for Singh's bloated ego, He has destroyed the NDP party and next election they need to be voted into oblivion!
@michaelbushe@gooner_lens@DalaiLama Stop including the Philippines in this. Adult Filipino men in the Philippines don't ask young boys to suck their tongues.
@Boyshapoines @MissInterOrg Population density is not a metric since few people vote even in countries with huge population. In paid voting, those who pay usually wins as is the case with NM in MI amd Mauritius in MGI.
@annejknofficial 20-10-5-3. Top 20 so there are more girls recognized and given the chance. MU then will be more popular in more countries. Top 5 brief Q&A, and then top 3 final Q&A to really screen the right woman. MU fans want a great production though!
BREAKING: Patagonia founder gives away the $3 billion company to a pair of trusts, with a mandate to give all profits (~$100 million/year) to fight the climate crisis.
This is a real game-changer, raising the bar on what a socially conscious business can look like.
Hey, friends, we just gave our company to planet Earth. OK, it’s more nuanced than that, but we’re closed today to celebrate this new plan to save our one and only home. We’ll be back online tomorrow.

Starbucks is raising prices after reporting a 31% increase in profits. The company’s revenue increased by almost 20% to over $8,000,000,000. Their CEO’s pay increased by almost 40% last year to more than $20,000,000.
Do not be fooled. This is about corporate greed. It always is.

@SkyNews If only the government can cut down on the cash grab for Internationally Educated Nurses' Certification, then the staffing problem will be alleviated. Until then, bless those RNs and other medical proffesionals suffering from overwork.
@pahl_brighteyes @BCGovNews For Internationally Educated Nurses, NCAS- IELTS (that expires every 2 years lol)- SEC- COURSES/BACK to SCHOOL- CPRNE- this is just a huge cash grab. Bless those medical professionals who are sacrificing amidst staff shortage.
@JustinTrudeau@premierbhiggs I just called the COVID-19 Vaccination Center and they informed me that they are still vaccinating age 60+ for the booster? BC is even slower in administering booster dose than Third World Countries?
It's going to be very cold for the next little while across much of southern BC. Please monitor local media in your community for info on warming centres and resources for unhoused or underhoused folks — and if you have to travel, check road conditions before you go.

@JustinTrudeau@jjhorgan We need a coordinated Canada-wide response at this point. Some provinces are rolling out boosters faster than others, rapid antigen tests are free in some and nowhere to be found in others, restrictions differ from province to province - all Canadians deserve the necessary tools.
Remember how a while back I said that I went to a Michelin starred restaurant and it was one of the most singularly awful meals of my life?
I finally sat down and wrote about the whole fiasco.
