Cracking jokes on Landing Pages

[Bhuvanesh - The Landing Page Guy @LandingPageGuy_]

“Let’s build trust,” says the landing page.

Then immediately hides the price,
the reviews, and the product
behind three scrolls and a pop-up.

Very trustworthy.
Like a man in a white van offering candy. 💀

Your landing page is like a Bollywood plot twist —

12 sections later, I still don’t know what’s going on…
but someone’s definitely crying.

Still not using landing pages?

Cool. Let me introduce you to…
the world’s most expensive bounce rate. 💀

A landing page journey should feel like a smooth date.

Yours feels like I just sat down…
and someone screamed:
“WAIT! Give me your email!!” 💀

You have 3 pop-ups before I even see the product.

One for cookies.
One for newsletter.
One for “spin the wheel.”

Why does your site feel like I’m entering a haunted casino? 💀

Some brands treat their landing page like a museum exhibit:

“Here’s our story.
Here’s our founder.
Here’s our packaging journey.”

Oh how lovely — but where the hell is the Add to Cart button? 💀

Your landing page headline is “Join the Revolution.”
Revolution? Bro, it’s a ₹799 face wash, not the French resistance. 💀

Your hero section says:
“Welcome to better.”

Better than what?
My ex? Delhi traffic?
This landing page? 💀

Your landing page has 12 fonts, 8 CTAs,
and one pop-up asking me to “Subscribe for updates.”

I don’t even know what you sell yet.
What updates? You think this is a Marvel franchise? 💀

The average person gives you 8 seconds of attention.

So if your landing page opens with a 500-word brand story…

you might as well replace your CTA with:

“Try Again Later.” 💀

Your design agency said your landing page “builds curiosity.”

It doesn’t.

It builds confusion.
It builds doubt.
It builds a crippling urge to close the tab. 💀

Your ad said:
“Buy now for glowing skin.”

Your landing page says:
“Meet our founder.”

Why?
Did your founder invent the sun? 💀

A landing page should walk, talk, and close like your best salesperson.

Yours just stands in the corner muttering,
“We sell skincare. I guess.” 💀

Your ad says:
“Solves dandruff in 7 days.”

But your landing page opens with:
“Rooted in ancient ayurvedic philosophy.”

Ma’am.
My scalp is itchy, not spiritual. 💀

Let’s be real:

A landing page isn’t just a webpage.

It’s a Tinder profile for your product.

So please, for the love of conversions —
stop using your GST invoice photo as the hero image. 💀

You know what a good landing page does?

It seduces.
It educates.
It closes.

Your page just says:
“Hey, here’s a product. Want it or not, I’ve got meetings.” 💀

If your landing page doesn’t answer:

✅ Who it’s for
✅ What it does
✅ Why it matters

Congrats — you’ve just built a PowerPoint presentation for aliens. 🛸

When someone says:
“We’re getting great clicks but no sales.”

I want to whisper gently:

“That’s not traffic.
That’s tragedy.” 💀

Landing pages are like toilets in a restaurant.

You don’t think about them — until they’re bad.

And then you can’t unsee it. 💀

The only thing worse than no landing page…

is one with auto-play videos, parallax scrolls,
and 14 different fonts.

This isn’t design.

This is digital schizophrenia. 💀
