Gainesville’s Firefighter Union took a unanimous vote of no confidence in the leadership of Mayor Lauren Poe. Today they announced formally asking for the Mayor’s resignation.
Alachua County Commissioners have voted again to extend their emergency order, which carries with it an indoor mask mandate, for another week. They can only extend this order twice more (2weeks).

A concert hoping to draw a crowd of up to 5,000 will be held this weekend (Sunday) just outside of the city of Archer. We stopped by to check on what safety precautions they have in place for those who attend in regards to violence, and COVID.
BREAKING: County Commissioners have unanimously voted YES to a 7 day county-wide mask mandate for all indoor locations other than private residences. Commissioners will revisit and vote on this decision every 7 days.

BREAKING: Alachua County Commissioners have scheduled an emergency meeting for Wednesday night at 5pm. They will be discussing ordering a county-wide mask mandate be put back in place. This would require all businesses to require customers wear masks regardless of vaccine status.
