Oystercatcher Green A22, originally ringed @LaneMarsh on 13/06/2019, has just been spotted 90km away in Whixall (16/02/2026).

Last night on Packington Estates, Solihull we re-caught a ringed bird, turns out it was one we’d ringed as a chick just 2km away @LaneMarsh in 2023. 💫 Wonderful to see it thriving and staying local! 🦉💛 #BarnOwl
Fantastic news! A Nightjar was ringed at @LaneMarsh last night, just a stone’s throw from Birmingham Airport ✈️. That makes 6 in 4 years, all juveniles, highlighting a clear migration route for these elusive birds 🌙🪶. #Nightjar#BirdMigration
Waders today : 7 LRP, 2 C SAND ,1 GREEN SAND , still 4 OYK Inc fledged young, 56 LAPWING Inc 3 fledged young. Plenty of warblers too. Only hirundines to 10 am were 15 HM and 1 SM
Recovery: Common Tern A01, originally colour ringed @LaneMarsh on 09/07/2020 as a chick. Was seen on 24/07/2024 in Saint Pair sur mer, France, which is a distance of 253 miles. This bird has been seen at Upper Bittell 2022, Brandon Marsh 2024 & Draycote Water 2024.
16 ad +1 juv WF Geese on Flood Plain at Marsh Lane NR was a nice surprise today. Our largest number. Prob ex Ladywalk flock. Also pr Stonechats and male Brambling. Duck nos v variable last few days
