Last night, Donna, the kids and I saw @foofighters perform in Glasgow. One of our favourite bands, the gig was superb.

The results are often completely unplanned…unexpected even.
Made by using a combination of long exposure, light painting photography and digital art techniques.
The idea is to treat the work like a kind of automatic drawing, where I don’t have a resulting image in mind until it reveals itself to me near the end.
For this artwork, I created my own light tool disc, fashioned from an old rubber washing machine pipe and some colourful finger lights. Oh!…and plenty of tape.
Later, using Photoshop, I manipulated the shot and drew layers of semitransparent digital brustrokes on top.
