@elliestweetss It’s like a blend of debut album and Moral Panic. I love DCC, but debut and Broken Machine are what made me fall in love with the band. So good to see that sound coming through!
@Mikehomeseller Two great debut albums! I’m going with Core (just). Robert DeLeo has talked a lot about the Rush influence on this album. Whereas Billy Corgan acknowledges he basically ripped off By-Tor and the Snow Dog for the opening riff of Cherub Rock on Siamese Dream.
@Mikehomeseller The album isn’t even released yet, but today @NBThieves dropped the opening track to their upcoming album Stray Dogs. It’s got all the hallmarks of a banger of an opening track! https://t.co/O9ElqqhFEw
@Mikehomeseller Yes. On 3 February 2007 in Melbourne, Australia (the night after seeing Roger Waters at the same venue). Clapton’s band that night included Doyle Bramhall II and Derek Trucks. The three huddled together mid stage then going into the opening riff of Layla was something else!
@Qwine I have opined to the man himself that Tim Smith makes possibly the best Mataro in Oz! And it pairs beautifully with homemade beef and bacon burgers 🤤
@Mikehomeseller Tough one, but I’m just giving the nod to Test for Echo. Unfairly maligned in my opinion. The entire album hangs together nicely, with not a bad track. Having said that, High Hopes from The Division Bell is a masterpiece of a song!
