@rutlandcouncil @HarveyCllr @HarveyCllr I’ve completed the flood survey as Churchwarden for St Peter and St Paul Langham but I have some photos that I couldn’t attach, so I will do so here. I also forgot to say that the churchyard hasn’t flooded like this in all my 35 years in Langham.
Uppingham Jazz and Soul Band in concert @LanghamStPP this Saturday 7th October at 7.30. The church is large and there is still space for more - just turn up on the night. It will be a fabulous evening.
Please join us tomorrow for morning coffee with delicious cakes or for lunch, savoury cheesecakes. All in a beautiful garden setting. The weather promises to be fine.
The plight of those in #Ukraine is awful. Please bring good quality clothing blankets dried or tinned food stuffs etc to Olive’s Beauty Salon in Crown Walk #Oakham. The lorry leaves tomorrow at 7pm - let’s fill it & do what we can! https://t.co/UUFUmEJRIY
Listen out as the New Year is rung in at midnight and big thanks to our wonderful team of bellringers. Also, isn’t it wonderful to hear the clock chiming on the hour once again. Happy New Year from everyone @LanghamStPP
Today we give thanks for those who have laid down their lives in service of our freedom, and pray for those pursuing peace.
May God comfort all who mourn and strengthen those who serve. #RemembranceSunday
On Maundy Thursday Jesus reveals the true character of God. As he takes the role of servant, willingly washing the disciple’s feet, he turns our ideas of power and the divine on their heads. In His tender humility, He reveals a very different God to the one we expect.
