The Russian course of my dreams was made and you can find it here. A full course based on my favorite Russian movie called "Brother". Highly recommended! (other movies available).

I remember the days of watching those first generation YouTube polyglot content creators. Luca Lampariello, Richard Simcott, Laoshu, Connor Clyne, Olly Richards, Jan, etc. Inspiring times.

Disappointment has always been a wonderfully motivating emotion in my language learning toolkit. I get disappointed and then I come back harder.

I love languages. Language learning changed my life. Language learning is a lifestyle and if you are into human connection then it's the way to go.

Just had one of those "disappointed in my foreign language performance" moments. I had to sulk in that feeling for a bit and not distract myself from it. Now I'm ready to continue on.

One kind of negative thing about not being an active member of the language learning community anymore is that the #40h7dlc gets kind of forgotten. It shouldn't, it is an amazing experience/language challenge.

As time has gone on I have seen the benefit of the language learners that can speak multiple languages at a conversational level (as opposed to going deep on a few.) You can connect with different groups of people on a wider scale.

I've been told on various occasions by people that I have an accent in my native English. I lived abroad for 8 years and added two more languages. If all that changed my English to the point where someone spots some irregularities, I'll take it and consider it an amazing tradeoff

Once you can communicate in and understand another language you realize you could never go back to just one again. It opens you up to new worlds and why would you only ever want to exist in just one?
My best piece of language learning advice would probably have to be to make an emotional connection with the language. It then becomes a part of you on a deep and special level. It will be something that you will never want to give up.
