The most disappointing part about this whole immigration brouhaha is how, instead of banding together to challenge what is clearly an unfair policy, people have somehow turned it into a hierarchy of professions, using it as an opportunity to look down on legitimate careers they consider beneath their own. As though their jobs are somehow more deserving of respect or legitimacy than others.
