If we're honest; it's just banter. Yes, that place gave us some of the most challenging years of our lives but overall? Positive impact without a doubt. That's why the same people that complain go back for post-grad and stay "for good."

It's not really cushy. We strain ourselves so much. In addition to building these complex things and constantly engaging with people, v we're constantly required to spend even more time improving. Our jobs require us to put in much more than standard hours

I recently saw an execution of an idea I had YEARS ago that I didn't have the (money, time or knowledge) to execute. I got sad that someone beat me to it but I realise now that there's space for 2 of us.
My work day started at 5 am today and one of the first things I did was update the email address for my (1) test client in our DB. Imagine my surprise when I saw "14 000 rows updated". Thank the Lord for roll back. Anyway from now on my day starts at 8.
