@skycomet1 Not true - they absolutely could have scaled and prepared based on the preorder figures alone. It’s already happened, but if people don’t voice that they are unhappy with this launch, nothing will change in the industry. That’s what I’m saying
@KC_GingerSnapz@Kleanisklean@WARDOGS Not excusing it, they should have expected and prepared for this many players given the success of the beta. Just annoys me when people speculate about large escape cyber attacks with no evidence hahaha
@babesnawh@CrystalChloe5@FSV_Nephren Where is your proof that they were DDOSed? Unless someone was exploiting a vulnerability in their infrastructure, it would be almost impossible to distinguish between a DDOS and 300,000+ legitimate users authenticating to their services. Stop throwing this claim around
@NickRebornTV Laughing so hard at people throwing round the DDOS word as a cheap out for wardogs’ poor projection of numbers. Even the devs have admitted to dropping the ball.
@WisconsinSooner@MrAtomicDuck Where is your proof of a DDOS attack other than others speculating and throwing the term around? I haven’t seen any reports from Wardog staff claiming this, and it’s a cheap out
@FeloniousCazz@tminnzy DDOS is speculating, the only DDOS we know of so far is 300+ thousand legitimate users authenticating to their services at once. Not defending the devs, just call it what it is
@notnarcital@ClankerQueen@WARDOGS Where is the proof of a DDOS attack? Has someone claimed ownership? Would be really difficult to distinguish a DDOS attack from 300-odd thousand genuine users authenticating to their services unless their were exploiting a specific vuln in their infrastructure
@hackinarticles 8 chars doesn’t really cut it anymore, that’s well within the grasp of cracking for high end GPUs
Also NIST says don’t rotate regularly it can lead to weaker passwords
