🚨Kylian Mbappé on what Thomas Tuchel said to him after England’s 6-4 victory over France in the FIFA World Cup third-place play-off.
🎙️ Reporter: “Kylian, after the final whistle we saw Thomas Tuchel speaking to you. What did he say?”
🗣️ Kylian Mbappé: “He was smiling when he came over and the first thing he said was, ‘You almost got me sacked today.’ We both laughed because he knew how close the game became.
“He told me England were cruising at 4-0, and then suddenly I scored, France started believing again and the whole stadium felt the momentum change. He said for a moment he thought the game was slipping away from England.
“I told him that’s football. Until the referee blows the final whistle, you keep fighting. We never gave up, even when everyone thought the match was over.
“He congratulated me on my performance and said I was a constant problem for his defence. It’s always nice to hear that from a top coach, even after a defeat.
“Of course, I’m disappointed because we lost. Scoring goals doesn’t mean much when your team doesn’t win. But we showed character in the second half, and that’s something we can build on.
“Tuchel also said England had to dig deep because we made them earn that victory. I think that’s true. They deserved to win, but we made sure they had to fight until the very end.”
🚨Thierry Henry on Kylian Mbappé.
🗣️ Thierry Henry: “People always talk about Mbappé’s pace and goals, but what makes him truly special is the belief he gives to everyone around him.
“France were 4-0 down, and most teams would have accepted defeat. Then Mbappé stepped up. He scored twice, demanded the ball every chance he got and suddenly the entire team believed they could pull off the impossible.
“When your best player refuses to give up, everyone follows. Dembélé became more dangerous, Barcola found more confidence and France started attacking with purpose. That’s leadership.
“The greatest players don’t just score goals—they change the mentality of their teammates. Mbappé did exactly that. He made England nervous and turned a finished game into a real contest.
“That’s why he’s one of the best players in the world. He doesn’t disappear when his team is losing. He takes responsibility, asks for the ball and carries the fight.
“France may have lost 6-4, but Mbappé reminded everyone why he’s always in the conversation for the biggest individual awards. When the pressure is at its highest, he still finds a way to produce moments that very few footballers can.”
They don't enjoy BTS they're trying to make young French people forget that they're responsible of the rising of poverty and far-right ideology in France
