Serving the City of Los Angeles for 43 years has been the honor of my lifetime. To every person who has ever lived in, worked in, or visited Los Angeles, and to my family- thank you. To the men & women of the #LAPD, you are in good hands.

Passing the badge means passing the torch. The weight of this badge was never lost on me, and it’s history and legacy will continue to transcend any one Chief.

We are honored to be part of this great program yet again. We look forward to revealing this year's patch very soon. https://t.co/PSiQYAiIw8

One of the many #LAPD officers that protect and serve our city while many of us sleep, was seriously injured in a traffic collision last night. Please keep our officer and her family in your prayers as she recovers. https://t.co/FNmvsaT1UX

[Chief Charlie Beck @LAPDChiefBeck]

The thoughts and prayers of the men and women of the #LAPD are with the family and friends of Captain Dave Rosa, as well as the entire @lbfd family. The City of Long Beach lost a hero today.

Policing Los Angeles doesn’t take a day off- we are committed to protecting and serving 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In cars, on bikes, or on foot, our promise is to police with purpose and integrity every day. Proud of our officers’ quiet leadership. https://t.co/njyP7MzCYy

[Chief Charlie Beck @LAPDChiefBeck]

Los Angeles lost a dedicated public servant today. Former Police Commission President John Mack was instrumental in guiding the #LAPD towards community-based 21st century policing. Our department and our city are in a better place because of John’s legacy.

An afternoon well spent with @Patharveynews talking about @LAPDNewtonCSP —This is what really good policing looks like. All of us coming together to find a solution rooted in compassionate community policing.

#HappeningNow -#LIVE on-air with @ABC7 for my final monthly meeting. Thank you to the entire @ABC7 team for allowing us to stop by, and give an update on all things #LAPD for past 8 years. Tune-in for a special weather report as well

Humbled by this morning’s @LACityCouncil ceremony. I’m fortunate to have worked with such a dedicated group of individuals—they truly are a Council that I’ve been honored and proud to work for.

[Michel R. Moore @LAPDChiefMoore]

Simple tools but they can create so much havoc for victims. Fortunately we have some of the best trained officers that work daily to keep thieves off our streets. Thx @LAPDHollywood for continuing the relentless pursuit of safeguiding lives & property-remember #LockItHideItKeepIt

[LAPD HQ @LAPDHQ]

Thank you @lauradiazanchor & @FoxLA for a great coverage of @LAPDChiefBeck last patrol as he recounts his days as a young officer in #LAPD Rampart Div and how his early experience guided him to this very day.

[Chief Charlie Beck @LAPDChiefBeck]

Today we unveiled the newest addition to our #LAPD fleet- 20 eBikes. Our new, state-of-the-art @BullsBikesUSA eBikes will not just give us the largest fleet of its kind for a police department, they will help our officers enhance community policing practices throughout L.A.

[LAPD HQ @LAPDHQ]

Meet this lifesaving team from LAPD Mission Division. While Officer Baghdasarian fended off 3 vicious pitbulls who had just mauled a man, Officer Aguirre used his @USMC EMT training to apply tourniquets to both legs. Doctors said their actions saved the man from bleeding to death

[Chief Charlie Beck @LAPDChiefBeck]

On behalf of the men and women of the #LAPD, we wish all dad’s - especially all who are working today - a very #HappyFathersDay

[Chief Charlie Beck @LAPDChiefBeck]

Proud of each and every one the individuals that make up our Office of Constitutional Policing and Policy. Special congrats to Detective Harry Eddo on receiving his 40 year service pin- He has been and will always be an integral part of the OCOP family.

Honored to name my friend Dr. Kenji Inaba our 1st Chief Surgeon of the #LAPD. Kenji is not only a dedicated Reserve Officer, he’s also a @USC Professor of Surgery while also being a full time trauma surgeon. He’s the embodiment of the slogan #TwiceACitizen

[Chief Charlie Beck @LAPDChiefBeck]

Always great being able to go back to my home away from home @LAPDRampart (look closely at the names on the wall). Thanks @oborraez for another great interview- a true professional and friend.
