I read book II of Republic a little while back and was surprised at Plato's thoughts on how the Gods should be modeled in his ideal city.

The description seemed to have a Christian basis to it: Gods should not be capable of mischief, should be wholly good, should be of same form (moving to monotheism).

Your line of thought is quite interesting do you feel that perhaps the idea of having one God is the biggest idea the West took from Judaism?

Yeah would have been nice if he was saying that before the debate, but basically he was calling a moron anybody who refused to get fully on board with Robinson having done it.

By "overwhelming" he was basically implying no reasonable person could think Robinson did not do it. Then he shows up day day debate and concedes there can be legitimate doubt and he is only 85% sure.

He wasted everybody's time expect Candace's I guess since she is walking away with 300K.

Instead of arguing the evidence the State has brought forward he has put her on the defensive as to why Robinson is a patsy.

Debate is not really going anywhere, arguing useless minutia, it's the best he could have hoped for and it's working for him.
