Today, we announced that Anna Handler will become the LA Phil’s Conductor-in-Residence, beginning a three-year term in the 2026/27 season. In this new role created especially for her, Anna joins the LA Phil’s Artistic leadership, conducting performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, curating and performing in chamber concerts, and participating in a yearly project with YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles).
A 2023/24 Dudamel Fellow, Anna brings an exquisite artistry combined with a commitment to the people of greater Los Angeles that resonates deeply with our own mission that a symphony orchestra is foundational to the vibrancy and resilience of our communities.
“Anna is such a talent on the podium, and her artistry and musical ideas have cultivated a deep connection with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, galvanizing the musicians and supporting the orchestra’s continued artistic evolution,” said Kim Noltemy, President and CEO of the LA Phil.
