A watchdog calling out bad people in LA politics so you don’t have to. Center or left, no one is safe. We say what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.
Hi!
We’re here to hold power accountable!
We make no exceptions for ideology.
If you’re moderate, center left, or left, but abuse your power, we’re calling you out.
I wanna vote for somebody🎶
I wanna feel the heat with somebody🎶
Yeah, I wanna vote for somebody🎶
For somebody who will get money out of politics, put money in pockets, and pass Medicare for All🎶
Seems that this article “forgets” to mention that LA film jobs are going up.
We should help the film industry as much as possible however the trend upwards should be covered, instead of this article being two years behind.
Hollywood is at risk of becoming Detroit, advocates warn, unless the U.S. responds to the 81 countries embracing filmmaking as an economic tool.
“I watched the demise of steel and rubber and automotive manufacturing as I grew up,” says IATSE vice president Mike Miller, who was raised in Cleveland. “This is identical in many ways. We have an undeclared trade war that our government is standing by and watching happen.”

gotta say, it’s actually remarkable how almost every single tech-right person on here got oneshotted by easily disprovable conspiracy theories on behalf of a grifter reality TV candidate in a city that consistently votes for democrats by 40+ point margins
If you’re trying to start an organization, generally not a good idea to burn bridges Willy Nilly.
One way to do that is to remove people as IG followers…
General pro tip:
If you say you want an affordable LA, it’s not a good look to support a Caruso & NIMBY backed candidate over a pro housing & labor backed one.
We have said it before and we will say it again.
Back candidates because of policy and accomplishments, NOT because of petty grudges.
If you do the latter, you’ll burn bridges because all people will associate you with is grudges.
He however has changed a ton in a positive way. He’s done so much outreach to folks who didn’t back him, he builds coalitions, and he works to bring in new people.
We didn’t like him in 2022, we like him now. He also has received several endorsements he didn’t get in 2022.
@HenrySternCA@wendycarrillo We are not Henry Stern fans whatsoever but Wendy Carrillo has her DUI and was reprimanded for sexual harassment.
Shane on both of you!
Antisemitism on full display courtesy of @WendyCarrillo running for State Senate. Wendy would rather put my kids at risk blowing dogwhistles about dark Jewish money in politics, than wrestle with her own moral failings, of which I am all too aware. Shame on you.
Also, progressive candidates overperform polling in LA.
In 2022, we heard rumors of polls showing Hugo losing and no one we knew expected Eunisses to win.
We aren’t fans of Eunisses, however she’s locked on key support from orgs and leaders who weren’t with her last time.
We would be surprised to see Hugo in a runoff. We couldn’t stand him in 2022, but we’re big fans now. Unless turnout is way more R than in 2022 (unlikely since Dems are voting late and other states show good Dem numbers), unlikely Hugo gets <50%.
EXIT POLLING...
There are several exit polls happening across LA - but I want to talk about the two I am personally doing in City Council District 13 and District 1.
Can both Eunisses and Hugo win it in June- YES.
Eunisses is tracking about 5 points lower than Hugo currently and both below 50% based on who has already voted.
Note, we are looking at minuscule samples and about 90% of the vote still needs to happen, only 10% of everyone we expect to vote has voted.
If Spencer gets more than 15% of the vote, Eunisses and Hugo are likely in run-offs, if you wanted a "bat signal" to watch on election day returns. Spencer Pratt voters are at 98% rejecting the incumbents. Lots of data I am looking, fun last 12 days.
Had a blast working out with Terra at Detroit Body Garage. We discussed the importance of people of all ages getting in their daily movement, and how government can improve health outcomes by investing in the simple idea that no one should go without healthcare in the richest, most powerful country in the world. Pass Medicare for All.
It’s extremely funny to see someone call themselves “anti establishment” but are criticizing a candidate backed by all the progressive groups and opposed by crypto billionaires, prominent NIMBYs and the more moderate wing of the party.
Bootlicking is fine, but be honest.
